Hikvision integration

SCALABILITY
SECURITHOR is built to follow your CMS not the other way around. Start with the number of stations you need 1,2,3 etc... and add more stations by purchasing station licenses only when you need them. You can plan your network installation ahead and spend only when you need it. Scalability also means you can operate all SERVER operations in one machine or that you can separate Core application and database operation in two machines to optimize each process. Hikvision integration
SECURITHOR is made to operate in various environment. A high traffic CMS or a corporate security department will each find SECURITHOR at ease because if can be scaled and customized to fit the profile needed.
CHOICE OF OS
SECURITHOR is made to operate under Windows XP, Vista, 7 or server OS Windows server 2003, 2008 or Small business server 2008. As SECURITHOR is made to run with PostgreSQL and is not using Windows' services, a regular OS is enough for minimum to medium traffic operation thus reducing acquisition costs tremendously. High traffic or multi-site operations will benefit from a Server OS.
Linux or Mac OS X can be used for database hosting. Manual installation of PostgreSQL, SECURITHOR DB table and Gateway is required.
POWERED BY PostgreSQL
In designing SECURITHOR, we made sure to use SQL engine and database. SQL respects the 5 S we are looking for: Strength, Stability, Scalability, Security and Speed. MCDI chose PostgreSQL to handle the database.
PostgreSQL is an open-source object-relational database system that runs on all major operating systems including Windows, Linux, Unix and Mac OS X. With 15 years of development and proven architecture, PgSQL earned a strong reputation of integrity and stability being able to handle lightweight or complex database applications.
Being open source means there is no acquisition cost yet a large community of developers to enhance and support. By choosing Pg SQL instead of mySQL or Microsoft SQL helps keeping acquisition costs down because you don't have to purchase a pricy SQL license on top of your CMS software.
SPREADING OR GROUPING RECEIVERS
STnet gives two choices for connecting receivers. You can centralize receivers on one dedicated machine (or core server) or spread them on several PC's in your network. Each method has merits. Centralizing helps to simplify support and dedicating one machine means you can dedicate one machine to this highly demanding I/O task while spreading receivers on your network helps reduce the risk in case of failure.
With IP connection between the receivers server and SECURITHOR Core server, you can have receivers and SECURITHOR in separate locations if you provide a stable IP link. Contact us with the specific of your installation to discuss options.
CUSTOMIZED WORKSPACE PER OPERATOR
Each operator can move around the tabs and navigation panes of SECURITHOR to best fit its work and display ergonomy. When logging out, the workspace of the operator is saved and will be presented back to him in the same manner next time he logs in for his shift. See SECURITHOR general description, screenshots and video tutorial for more on this feature.

ALARM PROCESSING
All alarm processing functions such as scheduling, auto log, alarm filtering by priority are present in STnet and ST1 (single station). Some features are only available in STnet such as load balancing, filtering by skill set and transfer to another operator
LOAD BALANCING
With multiple operators you may want to insure all of them get a fair load of alarm signals to process. STnet is made to balance the load of signals between operators and to always seek the next available operator so there is no delay in processing alarms.
This is especially needed if you process alarms at two sites or in large operations where communication between operators or supervisors may not be instantaneous.
It's always possible for an operator to transfer an alarm event to a specific operator for example if a senior operator is needed or if another operator already treated event from the same subscriber.
ALARM ROUTING TO OPERATORS BY SKILLSET
Instead of the load balancer, you can select alarm distribution to operators based on skill set. By applying filters an alarm event may be directed to a specific operator or to a specific group of operators. Filters can be based on account ranges, selection of account numbers, alarm code ranges or selection of alarm codes.
MOBILE LINK FOR SUPE RVISORS - STM
ST Network Edition comes with STM - Securithor Mobile Viewer - a unique feature for supervisors to be updated on STnet status. Supervisors can access status of STnet on web enabled mobile phone or standard web browsers. Status is updated to a choice of 30 or 60 seconds and display last 10 to 100 events, list of registered operators, number of events received in the last hour and top 10 alarm codes processed in the 24 hours. This light web based tool can be hosted easily on your CMS web site or you can receive free complementary hosting on securithor.com. Data transferred to web server is encrypted. Web server with SSL encryption can be added.

STM is also available for SECURITHOR Single station as an additional module. Contact MCDI Sales to add STM to your ST1.
Check graphical simulator for iPhones or web browsers. Mobile view requires a handheld device with 320 px min width with web access. Desktop viewing requires compatible browser (IE 8+, Firefox 3.5, Safari 4, Google Chrome) lan access to ST for internal viewing and web access for remote viewing. STM is included in SECURITHOR Network Edition and option for ST1 single station. Now available. STM Getting Started Guide available in PDF

R EMOTE CONNECTION
All connections between server and workstations (clients) are made over ethernet. It is possible to connect remotely to ST server using SECURITHOR client (VPN and Firewall preferable). A supervisor or owner can log into SECURITHOR Network from home and is able to verify and operate all aspects of SECURITHOR including making reports.
Operators are not bound to be in the CMS as they can connect over IP. It is possible to switch to an alternate CMS location after hours or during contingencies and continue operation given server and internet access is maintained. SECURITHOR Clients are running their own graphical user interface and only SQL queries are exchanged between server and clients thus insuring minimum bandwidth use and to keep operation as fast as possible over a DSL or cable connection.
Remote connection also allows an installer to access SECURITHOR remotely in order to configure the account and check test signals himself without having to disturb the operator. The installer level of permission can be restricted.
SMS AND EMAIL SENDING
STnet can send an email and/or a SMS to a subscriber for each alarm signal received at the CMS. Each account and each alarm code can be assigned a specific trigger and send a message that includes a header or a footer of your choice.
SMS are sent by addressing an email to SMS gateway or using a compatible GSM SMS modems such as Sony Ericsson, Telit 864 family, Siemens TC35, Siemens/Cinterion mc52i or Navigard 2058 (modems sold separately by third part vendors). SMS modems can receive SMS formatted alarms or send messages to subscribers.
Use of multiple
SMS modems is supported by SECURITHOR. You can assign a message to a specific SMS modem to keep within the same GSM operator and reduce costs.
SMS modem interface now included in ST1 and STnet.
SMS and Emailing Getting Started Guide available in PDF
HIKVISION VIDEO INTEGRATION
New since 1.1.3.0! Viewing camera and DVR feeds from Hikvision equipment is now integrated in STnet. Upon receiviing an alarm signal, you can you can access the video feed from Hikvision equipment directly in SECURITHOR with controls over the video equipment. SECURITHOR will start displaying from 15 seconds prior to alarm signals.
Hikvsion add-on module is integrated in STnet and optional for ST1. Compatible with most of the Hikvision equipment from the DS family
EASY INSTALLATION
With more than 5000 installations working, MCDI products have prove to be easy to install. Our engineers rarely travel to a site because most installations can be made with the help of our local dealers or by a local technician with general knowledge of computers and network. VERSIONS
Single station with server core (ST+1)
This hybrid SECURITHOR runs ST1 and STserver core on the same computer in 2 separate applications. Separating ST core and database results in enhanced speed and DB performance. ST+1 also includes the STS supervisor widget for mobile phones. Requires a dual core PC running Windows XP or 7.
Network Edition STnet
SECURITHOR Network version is based on architecture requiring a server PC and clients PC. This server works with a Windows operating system (XP, VISTA, 7, Server 2003, Server 2008, Small Business Server) while the connected workstation are Windows XP, VISTA or 7.
SECURITHOR client used by operators is common to all SECURITHOR versions so it's easy to move from ST1 to STnet by simply connecting to your new SECURITHOR server (requires STnet license).
Server licensing is based on the number of concurrent connected ST stations. Multiple ST clients can be installed over the number of licensed ST stations.
The Database using PostgreSQL can be located in a Windows or Linux based computer. A normal PC or a dedicated server can be used depending on your needs. As STnet is not using Microsoft services, it can run on a regular Windows OS for most installations. CMS with higher traffic will benefit from an OS server either Windows 2003, 2008 or Small Business Server.
Once the STnet server is installed and configured, stations are installed on Windows computers. Server license price is the same for all configurations and stations are priced per station with special discount for 5 or more stations. You select the number of stations you need at the start and install more stations only as you need them. Stations are paid when they are installed. Stations are connected to the server over ethernet.
ARCHITECTURE
SECURITHOR NETWORK EDITION is based on a Core Application server, Gateway, SQL database, SMS sender and Clients stations. All of those building blocks can be united in one PC or server. For faster processing and to make large reports, distributing those tasks in two or more machines may boost performance. It also enables using regular PCs as opposed to high priced servers.
Larger operations with heavier traffic will benefit from distributing computing in several machines. This approach also permits concentrating heavy computing on high end servers while less demanding tasks are distributed in regular PCs or less expansive machines.
With this architecture, the operators PCs running SECURITHOR client are working less than their counterpart running the Single Station version SECURITHOR ST1 Thus extending the technological life of operators PC.
